The following is a list of the Officers, Directors and Coordinators of the Inland Empire .NET User’s group.
Running a User Group is a tough job and requires more work than one would think. However, the benefits of working
with a User Group are substantial in gaining notoriety in the development community and making a name for yourself.
Plus, listing “Refreshment and Facilities Coordinator” of the Inland Empire .NET User’s Group really
looks great on a resume!” Unless otherwise indicated, all positions are open. If you see a filled position which you
think you could help to contribute, send an email and we’ll work hard to fit you in. This is your group and its success
depends on what you contribute to it. All volunteers are welcome, all we ask is that you have a passion for software
development and a desire to participate.

President |
| The President is the outward facing personality of the group and manages the meeting locations and all executive decisions of the group. Liaises with local businesses to promote the User Group and evangelize .NET Development. Has oversight and provides guidance for all positions |

Vice President |
| The Vice-President works with the President and Directors to promote the user group and to build community. The Vice-President is willing to take a bullet for the President during rough user group meetings. |

Speaker and Presentation Coordinator |
| Schedules speakers and special presentations for the User Group. Liaises with INETA to facilitate speakers from the INETA Speaker's Bureau. Works with the Marketing Director and Online Presence Engineer to promote meetings. Reports to the President of the User Group. |

Membership Director |
| Promotes and enhances membership in the User Group and to develop membership criteria and enrollment policies. Manages each members status and dues. Requires regular attendance at each meeting to take attendance and collect fees. Reports to the President of the User Group. |

Study Group Director |
| Develops curriculum, study plans, training materials and schedules for User Group Study sessions. Requires regular membership at each meeting to promote the study group and to answer questions from non-members regarding the benefits of such. Develops relationships with Microsoft and other training vendors to provide relevant training materials and access to certification exams. Requires regular attendance at each meeting to promote the study groups and to answer questions pertaining to the study groups Reports to the President of the User Group. |

Sponsorship Director |
| Develops and maintains sponsorship relationships with a wide variety of technology vendors to provide sponsorship to the group. Negotiates discounts of vendor’s product to User Group members and the donation of software licenses for raffle during User Group meetings. Requires regular attendance at each meeting to promote each sponsor. Reports to the President of the User Group. |

Marketing Director |
| Develops and maintains the content of the User Group website and User Group items sold online. Works with the President of the group to create new marketing materials and to promote the User Group to local businesses and other technology-related groups. Works with the recording secretary to develop online messaging and materials to build and enhance the membership of the group. In collaboration with the Sponsorship Director develops relationships with various vendors who wish to sponsor the User Group. Maintains banner ads on the User Group website. |

Online Presence Engineer (Webmaster) |
| Manages the User Group website and database. Maintains the website and handles issues which arise with both the User Group website and User Group messaging forums. Works with the Recording Secretary to prepare monthly newsletter emails and User Group mailings. Reports to the President of the User Group. |

Treasurer |
| Responsible for accurate accounting of the User Group’s finances and reconciliation of the meeting costs, monies received and membership dues. Works directly with the Membership Director and reports to the President of the User Group. Provides financial statements to paid members of the group and to other agencies as appropriate. Requires regular attendance to each meeting to collect fees and answer questions regarding group finances. |

Recording Secretary/Digital Media Archivist |
| Responsible for taking minutes of, and maintaining the attendance records for each monthly meeting. Video tapes and produces short outtakes of meetings for display on the User Group website and other marketing ventures. Works with the Forums Moderator and Online Presence Engineer to make available all presenter’s slides and documentation for download by User Group members. In collaboration with the other Directors sends out regularly scheduled emails to User Group members and others on the User Group mailing list regarding meeting details, meeting reminders and other User Group news. |
